Civil Works & Roads
Foundations, site preparation and roads that give every structure a sound base — on live industrial sites.

What civil works and roads covers
Civil gives every structure its base: survey and setting out, earthworks, foundations, slabs and hardstanding, yards, internal roads, kerbs and drainage. Red Ocean self-performs the ground works that surround a steel or roofing package, so the frame never waits on a second contractor.
The discipline runs as two service lines — civil works for the building and yard base, and roads construction for heavy-duty internal roads, haul roads and yards built for loaded trucks rather than cars.
Ground truth before concrete
Levels and coordinates are established before any excavation begins. The subgrade is tested to the bearing values in the geotechnical report, and if the ground differs from that report we stop and raise it before a cubic metre of concrete is ordered.
Formwork, reinforcement and pour sequence are planned against the structural drawings. Concrete is delivered to spec with tickets recorded, and curing is protected against heat — a routine consideration on KSA sites from May to September. Roads follow the same rigour: sub-base compacted in lifts and tested, asphalt laid to thickness with density tests, and kerbs and drainage set to falls so water leaves the yard.
Ground work on an operating site
Earthworks next to live plant mean traffic management — haul routes for trucks, spotters at junctions, barriers around open cuts — plus permits before excavation near buried services and dust control with water trucks and speed limits. Where heat forces it, we move the heavy tasks to night shifts.
Packages can be ordered either way round. Civil can lead, so the slab is ready when the steel arrives, or it can run alongside the steel structures scope with roads finished last to avoid damage from heavy transport. Either way, one programme and one project manager hold it together.
