What steel structures covers
Steel structures is the discipline behind every load-bearing frame we build: primary beams and columns, lateral bracing, secondary members, posts and the connections that tie them together. Red Ocean fabricates these members in our Madinah workshop and erects them with our own crews, so one contractor holds the schedule from the cutting table to handover.
Clients book the discipline as a complete frame or as a single scope. Work ranges from warehouse and workshop frames to pipe racks, plant extensions, canopies and equipment platforms. Every member is cut, fitted and welded to approved shop drawings, then match-marked, delivered and bolted into position on site.
How a steel package runs
We start from your drawings or a dimensioned sketch. Our engineers prepare shop drawings and connection details, flag clashes before any steel is cut and submit the package for approval. Material arrives with mill certificates, and each heat number is recorded against the member it becomes. Fabrication follows in the workshop — cutting, fitting, welding and dimensional checks — before the load is planned for transport.
On site, a lift plan sets the sequence: certified riggers, a signalman, exclusion zones, then alignment, bolting to the specified torque and a final survey. The scope can be ordered as one package or split across the specialist services underneath this discipline: steel fabrication, beam fabrication and installation, steel column bracing, secondary steel structure works and fabricated posts.
Built for operating plants
Most of our steel work sits inside live facilities. We plan around permits, isolation windows and shutdown schedules, and we follow the site rules in force — toolbox talks, permit-to-work and a daily briefing before every lift. Crews arriving on a major industrial site work to the same routine they practise on smaller jobs.
Handover includes mill certificates, weld records, dimensional reports and as-built drawings. Where anchor bolts, welds or NDT require third-party inspection, we coordinate with your inspector and hold the work until it passes. Review our safety approach before the first member is cut.
