470 t for three warehouses in 20 weeks despite 700 km haulage and winter rains.
The challenge
Phase one of a Tabuk logistics estate — three warehouses totalling 14,200 m² — had to complete before the estate’s first tenants arrived in early 2026. The Madinah workshop sits 700 km away, route surveys found two low bridges on the preferred haul road, and Tabuk’s winter rain window fell exactly on the erection programme.
Our approach
Splices were redesigned so every load cleared the low bridges, and a two-week material buffer was built into the programme before the first lift. Three crews of eleven erected the warehouses in parallel using two 50-tonne cranes, with sheeting-side works stopped at the first sign of rain and sand-filter screens fitted on the cranes’ air intakes. Weekly haulage call-offs kept steel arriving one erection sequence ahead.
The result
Twenty weeks, 470 tonnes, three frames and bracing systems completed with zero lost-time injuries across 39,500 safe man-hours at a peak crew of 40 — and every rain day was recovered inside the original float.
