CASE STUDY

172 t of hall steel and a 640 m² process mezzanine handed over in 14 weeks.

The challenge

A food-processing hall in Buraidah needed frame, mezzanine and racking posts on a fixed opening date, with a hygiene spec that banned on-site welding once the envelope was sealed. Base plates also had to clear embedded services the client’s engineer added late in the design.

Our approach

Everything was fabricated and match-marked in Madinah — including the mezzanine and all racking and shelving posts — so site work was lifting and bolting only. Embedded services were re-surveyed before steel arrived and two base plates were relocated in the workshop, not on site. Erection ran with two crews of eleven behind an 80-tonne crane, and the frame was bolted, braced and released to the cladding crew in six weeks.

The result

Handover in 14 weeks: 172 tonnes, 640 m² mezzanine and 48 racking posts installed, zero welds made inside the sealed envelope, zero lost-time injuries across 18,600 safe man-hours.
