4,600 m² of purlins, sheeting and envelope installed in nine weeks for a rose-processing plant.
The challenge
An agri-processing plant in Taif needed purlins, roof sheeting and a full envelope on a structure erected by others with as-built dimensions that did not match the drawings. Parapet levels varied up to 80 mm around the building, and the client wanted the plant running before the harvest intake.
Our approach
We set out the roof from a site survey rather than the issued drawings, re-graded purlin sections where the structure dipped, and detailed closures to suit the actual parapet on each elevation. Sheet was laid with roof-edge and wind-post bracing completed in the same pass, gutters followed the surveyed fall instead of the design fall, and all of it was done with the processing hall sealed against dust from below.
The result
Nine weeks from survey to handover: 4,600 m² complete, closures cut to real parapet levels with no site welding, zero lost-time injuries across 9,200 safe man-hours, and the plant took its first harvest intake on the date planned.
Scope delivered
- As-built roof survey & set-out
- Purlin re-grading where structure dipped
- Roof sheeting with edge & wind-post bracing
- Parapet closures cut to actual levels
- Gutters laid to surveyed fall
- Dust-sealed handover to processing team
They surveyed the roof instead of trusting the drawings — the closures fit the real building, not the design one.Plant manager · Al Hada Development
