The challenge
Entrance canopies, gate posts and roof-edge protection were needed at an open retail park drawing 12,000 visitors a day. All works had to sit inside 07:00–11:00 and after 22:00, with public exclusion enforced by barriers that could not block a single fire exit.
Our approach
Frames and posts were prefabricated and primed in Madinah so the site crew only set base plates, bolted frames and torqued fixings. Base plates were surveyed and grouted during the morning window, crane picks happened after the park closed, and the public walkway was protected with a canopy of its own above the exclusion zone for the two nights each frame landed.
The result
Nine weeks, 42 tonnes, 26 posts — all installed inside the trading-hour restrictions with zero lost-time injuries across 8,900 safe man-hours and no complaint or fire-exit closure logged by the park operator.
