Earthworks, ducts and 900 m of roads — full compound handed over in 15 weeks.
The challenge
A 6-hectare coastal compound needed infrastructure before eight residential blocks and a retail row broke ground. The water table was 1.5 m down, the consultant issued revised utility corridors three weeks into the works, and the plot shares its only access with an active construction gate.
Our approach
After the corridor revision we re-cut the duct routes in two nights of night works while the ground was still open, avoiding a full re-excavation. Foundations zones were dewatered with trench sheets and pumps, duct banks were cast with draw pits at junctions, 900 m of internal roads went in with kerbs and street-lighting foundations, and storm drainage was proofed before backfill. Traffic marshals ran the shared gate throughout.
The result
Fifteen weeks from remeasure to handover, infrastructure accepted by the consultant first time, zero lost-time injuries across 20,300 safe man-hours at a peak crew of 30 — and the revised corridors cost the developer only two nights of night work.
Scope delivered

- Duct banks, draw pits & chambers
- 900 m internal roads with kerbs
- Street-lighting foundations & earthing pits
- Storm drainage proofing before backfill
A mid-project corridor change would normally cost us a month. They absorbed it in two night shifts.Project director · Khobar Coastal Developments
