8,900 m² of roof sheeted, flashed and water-tested in 11 weeks with zero defects at handover.
The challenge
An 8,900 m² distribution centre near Makkah needed a watertight roof before the first seasonal rains and before racking install started inside. Deliveries had to avoid pilgrim traffic peaks, the roof was split into five zones over live floor works, and afternoon heat limited adhesive and sealant work to the morning shift.
Our approach
Purlins were laid and aligned zone by zone before any sheet went down, then sheeting ran from the ridge edges inwards with flashings, ridge and parapet closures sequenced behind it. Gutters and rainwater outlets were pressure-tested zone by zone and the whole roof was hose-tested before sign-off. Two crews of nine worked the morning shift for heat-sensitive tasks and a third handled flashings, all tied off to temporary lifelines.
The result
Eleven weeks from survey to water test: 8,900 m² sheeted, 1,340 m of flashings and closures installed, zero lost-time injuries across 14,200 safe man-hours, and the racking contractor started inside the building the same week we closed zone five.
