12-month base maintenance with 48 inspections and a six-hour response SLA across a live shipyard.
The challenge
Workshops, offices and a dockside warehouse on a working shipyard needed maintenance under salt-spray conditions where coatings and electrics fail quickly. Shipbuilding schedules meant access routes changed weekly, and mobile equipment made yard-side work a traffic-hazard task.
Our approach
We assigned a dedicated two-person crew with a site-specific traffic plan reviewed weekly against the yard’s build schedule. The programme covered corrosion touch-ups and coating repairs, AC servicing for offices, electrical maintenance and emergency lighting checks, masonry and paint, plus pest control in the warehouse. Roof and structure inspections ran quarterly and after every storm, with a six-hour response SLA for callouts and all works inside permit-to-work discipline.
The result
Twelve months: 48 scheduled inspections, 1,870 callouts closed within the six-hour SLA, zero lost-time incidents across 12,100 safe man-hours — and coating repair costs on the client’s own structures fell by a third against the prior year.
