CASE STUDY

385 t erected and bolted in 17 weeks, three days early, zero lost-time incidents.

The challenge

A 3PL tenant had a fixed lease start for a 11,800 m² Riyadh warehouse and the plot reached us five weeks later than planned. Erection shared the site with civil and fit-out crews, laydown was limited to one corner, and the summer midday work ban cut two hours from every shift between June and September.

Our approach

Shop drawings and connection designs were issued in the first three weeks and fabrication started in our Madinah workshop before the platform was fully released, so steel arrived sorted by lift. Two erection crews of twelve ran in sequence — columns and bracing first, then beams — behind a single 90-tonne mobile crane, with the heaviest lifts before the midday ban. Base plates were set by total station, every bolt tensioned to the drawing, and crews worked 100% tied off above 1.8 m with daily toolbox talks.

The result

Handover landed three days early: 385 tonnes erected, 4,100 bolted connections tensioned and surveyed, zero lost-time injuries across 26,000 safe man-hours at a peak crew of 46. The client released the estate’s second warehouse to us without a fresh tender.
